Research Study Description: Children’s Cold Sore Study
In Brief: The purpose of this research study is to assess the effects of an FDA approved prescription cold sore cream in children ages 6-11. This cream is currently not approved for use in children.
Detailed Description: During this 4 to 8 visit study with a 5 day dosing period eligible volunteers will receive the investigational study product and physical exam at no cost. Qualified participants will receive compensation for time and travel up to $250.
Subject Requirements: Your child may be eligible for this clinical research study if they are between the ages of 6-11, are generally healthy, and have a history of recurrent cold sores with at least 2 recurrences during the last 12 months.
