Spread the News About Your Event

The first order of business when placing an ad for a charity is to let others know when, what, where and how. For example. If you are holding a jogging event, be certain to give the time and location, as well as what others will need to bring. Do they need to bring water? Do they need to wear certain colors? If you are holding a bake sale, do others need to bring in a cake, cookies, etc? Be certain to list all the necessary things needed in order for the event to run smoothly.

If you charity qualifies for 501, make sure to mention that in your ad. Not only are you more likely to get donations, but you may also find that there are numerous people out just looking for a legitimate charity to donate to.
