Just as inevitable as High School Reunions are, so are locating or alerting all of those old school buddies and bff’s. Very often the best
chance you may have to gather up the old gang is to place targeted classified ads in the major cities around your area. Although there are many who may have entirely flown the coop, studies have shown that most people settle within a few hundred miles of their graduating high school location.
You will want the best coverage so it may actually be in your best interest to grab a map and select the closest and most frequently migrated to urban areas for your locale. You may place paper ads in addition to the free online classifieds but a quick warning on those. Expect them to be costly. The average paper ad for a high school reunion ad is around forty dollars per small ad per week. If you use this option, superb, but don’t forget to also create and send out your free online classified ads as well. Many people spend much of their time online these days. At work, at home and even on-the-go, so not utilizing online methods of classified ad postings may cause the reunion attendance to drop dramatically.
In fact, placing them online, and then using social media bookmarking and networking to advertise them, may get you a bigger turn out than you had planned for.
Prepare Your Ad
Be sure to list your graduating high school, the year of graduation and any specific requirements for RSVP or attendance to the function. Get creative by using your old school logo, or even a current one, to advertise the reunion. Often, even for those who browse classifieds, a skim over an ad doesn’t draw as much attention as an old familiar school crest.
Post them to all of the local cities. As long as you are using a free online classified ad service, post them to all of the cities available. It can’t hurt, and can only serve to dig up old cronies from even the furthermost reaches from their old stomping grounds.
