Edgeio.com finally found a suitor for its assets. TechCrunch reported Looksmart.com, a provider of advertising solutions, made the winning bid of $280K. By the way, the starting bid was $250K, so I guess there was lukewarm interest in this bidding opportunity.

It will be interesting to see if Looksmart continues the Edgeio concept or simply integrate the assets into their current system. I figure the most valuable assets are Edgeio’s PR7 ranking and its former employees.

I am only interested in this deal because I am always looking for possible outlets for myfree classified ads.
